Description

  • Lead scheduled consultative conversations with customers by phone or video.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand how each space is used, along with customer priorities and constraints.
  • Design 2–3 intentional system approaches rather than presenting a single answer.
  • Explain trade-offs among comfort, efficiency, cost, aesthetics, reliability, and installation complexity.
  • Recommend the best-fit solution based on customer values and needs.
  • Prepare a clear, structured design summary for the Sales team to finalize the order.
  • Act as a calm, trusted guide through a complex, high-stakes decision.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and installation realities early in the process.
  • Help customers articulate what matters most to them and understand the implications of each option.

Requirements

  • Experience in consulting, systems design, technical advising, architecture, engineering, building science, or another analytical field is a plus.
  • HVAC experience is helpful but not required.
  • Strong reasoning ability, communication skills, and a learning mindset are more important than industry background.
  • Ability to think in systems and trade-offs rather than looking for a single correct answer.
  • Comfort reasoning through ambiguity and designing multiple options.
  • Regular use of AI or modern tools to explore ideas, learn quickly, and improve thinking is preferred.
  • Ability to build trust through listening, thoughtful questions, and clear explanations.
  • Preference for collaborative problem-solving over transactional interactions.
  • Interest in learning new domains deeply and teaching yourself what you do not yet know.
