Description

  • Build and manage a pipeline of government sales opportunities at the federal, state, and municipal levels.
  • Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with procurement officials, agency leads, and other government stakeholders.
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities and guide contracts through procurement and close.
  • Represent the company at government industry events, conferences, and agency meetings, including travel as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership to align delivery commitments with what is being sold.
  • Contribute to long-term strategy as the company expands into additional government funding channels, including federal grants and public-sector financing programs.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of selling to government buyers and closing contracts at the state and/or federal level.
  • Deep familiarity with government procurement cycles, budget cycles, contract vehicles, and procurement requirements.
  • Experience building agency relationships and staying engaged with key decision-makers throughout long sales cycles.
  • Comfort operating in a startup environment with lean resources, urgency, and high visibility.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with bureaucratic and executive stakeholders.
  • California government relationships are a significant plus.
  • Experience with FEMA, HUD, or disaster relief procurement is highly relevant.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to develop and advance opportunities.
