Description

  • Provide strategic oversight for global project management and project finance teams across the clinical trial lifecycle.
  • Lead operational planning and turn strategic direction into measurable short- and long-term goals.
  • Oversee project development with sponsors and functional directors, including resource planning, financial assessment, and trial conduct.
  • Ensure project staffing levels are sufficient and utilization targets are maintained.
  • Troubleshoot and support project teams to resolve operational issues while protecting confidentiality and aligning with corporate objectives.
  • Mentor and manage Clinical Project Operations leaders and staff, including work allocation, training, development, engagement, and performance management.
  • Represent project operations in client meetings, business development meetings, bid defenses, and scientific or investigator meetings.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve service quality, reduce risk, and maintain compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Support budget planning, annual operational reviews, and financial risk management for the department.
  • Prepare budget inputs, proposal text, and change orders for RFPs, RFIs, and statements of work.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate university degree (Bachelor or Honours Bachelor) plus at least 10 years of related experience and ongoing development, or a college diploma/degree plus at least 15 years of related experience.
  • Deep experience in full-service project management leadership.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and leading teams with a strong excellence mindset.
  • Experience working in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) is required.
  • Significant financial responsibility, including participation in budget setting, autonomous expenditure decisions, or revenue-generation decisions within company policy.
  • Experience with financial processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Ability to support proposals, bid defenses, and client-facing presentations.
  • Ability to work in or support a global, multi-country clinical operations environment.
  • Preferred location is one of the following countries: Canada, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Brazil, Ireland, or the UK.
