Description

  • Own complex initiatives from user needs and business outcomes through architecture, delivery, production support, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and build secure, scalable applications, services, APIs, MCP servers, data pipelines, and platform integrations.
  • Use AI tools and coding agents across development while reviewing, testing, securing, and hardening delivered systems.
  • Participate in problem framing, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, observability, debugging, and support.
  • Lead architecture and code reviews; establish standards for quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with product, design, data, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to convert ambiguous needs into executable plans.
  • Identify and reduce technical risks involving integrations, data quality, security, operations, ownership, and technical debt.
  • Mentor engineers, shape the engineering roadmap, and influence engineering practices and technical strategy.

Requirements

  • 8+ years building and operating software systems; 10+ years preferred, with experience leading significant work end to end.
  • Principal-level engineering judgment, including the ability to simplify complex problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and make production-ready decisions.
  • Fluency with AI development tools or coding agents, paired with the discipline to inspect, test, secure, and own shipped work.
  • Strong modern web and service development experience, especially with Next.js, JavaScript or TypeScript, and Golang.
  • Experience with data engineering and relational systems, including dbt, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, schema design, query performance, migrations, data quality, and integrity.
  • Strong foundation in software architecture, secure development, automated testing, CI, deployment automation, observability, and containerization.
  • Equivalent experience with Java, C#, Python, Ruby, Elixir, Kotlin, or other modern languages and frameworks is welcome.
  • Clear technical communication and demonstrated leadership through influence, mentoring, accountability, and collaboration.
