Description

  • Set the technical direction and evolve Arcadia’s developer platform across cloud, Kubernetes, data infrastructure, and client-facing applications.
  • Build self-service APIs, templates, and golden paths for CI/CD, environments, observability, and platform services.
  • Embed testing, regression gates, progressive delivery, rollback, supply-chain security, policy checks, and cost attribution into platform workflows.
  • Manage the platform as an internal product by identifying developer needs, setting the roadmap, measuring adoption, and tracking delivery speed, stability, and satisfaction.
  • Lead migrations by tracking usage, automating implementation, completing final adoption work, and sunsetting outdated platforms.
  • Manage stakeholders, balance competing needs, bring shadow platforms onto supported standards, and improve cost visibility.
  • Own reliability practices including SLOs, observability, alerting, incident response, and on-call operations.
  • Coach senior engineers through design collaboration and technical reviews.
  • Promote self-service workflows so engineering teams can manage pipelines, environments, alerts, and SLOs independently.‌

Requirements

  • Experience combining software engineering expertise in abstractions and APIs with systems engineering depth in cloud, Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure as code.
  • Hands-on production coding experience and a pragmatic approach to researching, building, and prioritizing software.
  • Experience owning SLOs, observability, on-call responsibilities, and incident response.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead long-running migrations, complete final adoption phases, and intentionally sunset platforms.
  • A clear approach to structuring infrastructure and delivery for security, velocity, and reliability.
  • Strong customer empathy and experience identifying genuine engineering needs, retiring unused capabilities, and reducing toil through software.
  • Ability to initiate and execute organization-wide initiatives.
  • Experience with regulated data environments such as HIPAA, PHI, SOC 2, or HITRUST (preferred).
  • Experience transforming infrastructure or DevOps teams into product-minded platform teams (preferred).
  • Experience scaling platform support through support tiers, office hours, documentation, developer advocacy, or improving cloud and CI cost visibility (preferred).
