Description

  • Lead and develop a small engineering team responsible for third-party platform APIs, integrations, and tools.
  • Guide the development and evolution of the developer SDK and supporting tools.
  • Own the app directory, including app listing, discovery, review, and publication workflows.
  • Make architectural and technical decisions across multiple services, balancing developer experience, reliability, and scalability.
  • Partner with Product, Design, external developers, and other stakeholders on technical direction, roadmap planning, and execution.
  • Translate partner needs, technical constraints, and business priorities into clear plans.
  • Coach and mentor engineers on technical decisions, execution, and career development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience leading engineering teams as a people manager, technical lead, or Tech Lead Manager.
  • Experience building or leading a platform, API, or developer tools used by engineers or third-party developers.
  • Strong software engineering background across full-stack systems, with a backend-heavy focus.
  • Strong backend development experience in Go, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Design, and cross-functional partners on complex, user-facing platform systems.
  • Ability to define technical direction in ambiguous problem spaces and turn broad goals into actionable plans.
  • Track record of mentoring engineers and improving team technical and operational standards.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $180,000–$220,000 USD, excluding additional compensation and benefits.
  • Fully remote optional work arrangement.
