Description

  • Partner with stakeholders to define goals, workflows, constraints, success measures, and solution scope.
  • Evaluate whether agentic, deterministic, existing-capability, or no-AI approaches best fit each problem.
  • Translate business needs into architecture options, technical requirements, roadmaps, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Own solution architecture across a portfolio of agentic applications delivered by multiple squads.
  • Design workflows, agent packages, task graphs, orchestration patterns, integrations, tools, and MCP capabilities.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, implementation guidance, acceptance criteria, and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Manage cross-squad dependencies, technical debt, risks, governance, and opportunities for reusable patterns.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, security, data, integration, and business teams to coordinate delivery.
  • Provide hands-on coding and technical guidance while directly managing engineers across multiple squads.
  • Communicate architecture decisions, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs to technical and executive audiences.

Requirements

  • Experience with AWS and cloud-hosted foundation models or agent platforms such as Amazon Bedrock or AgentCore, or equivalent technologies.
  • Proficiency with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, REST or GraphQL APIs, event-driven systems, serverless or containerized workloads, and infrastructure as code.
  • Significant experience in software architecture, solutions architecture, technical leadership, or enterprise systems delivery.
  • Experience architecting and shipping production AI, generative AI, agentic, conversational, or intelligent-automation solutions.
  • Strong understanding of agentic patterns, including orchestration, tool use, RAG, model selection, prompt and policy controls, human approval, state, memory, evaluation, and fallback behavior.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems through APIs, events, connectors, workflow engines, or MCP-style tool patterns.
  • Knowledge of identity, authorization, data access, privacy, auditability, and secure-by-default design.
  • Ability to influence multiple teams without relying solely on formal authority and communicate complex tradeoffs clearly.
  • Experience creating architecture diagrams, ADRs, technical and nonfunctional requirements, and implementation guidance.
  • Preferred: experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, architecture governance, security or compliance reviews, relevant certifications, and coordinating engineers against timelines.
