Description

  • Build and maintain software applications across Agiloft’s enterprise software products.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to develop solutions for novel problems.
  • Work with AI engineers to integrate and efficiently use commercial LLM APIs.
  • Improve code quality, extensibility, scalability, and test coverage across software projects.
  • Make architecture and cloud engineering decisions with other engineers.
  • Develop and improve infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring and observability tools.
  • Improve internal developer tools, workflows, and engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the full application stack.
  • Mentor junior team members and participate in incident response and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Provide feedback to management on team quality, tech stack health, and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with Python in core application code.
  • Experience building modern cloud-native applications using serverless technology such as API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB, or similar.
  • Experience with enterprise software and a strong customer-centric mindset focused on end-to-end user experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Proficiency with AI tools in the software development lifecycle, such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot, and/or API integrations.
  • Deep understanding of Git, relational databases and data modeling, AWS infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, SAM), RESTful API design and documentation, CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, and containerization/orchestration with Docker and ECS.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale cloud engineering in AWS and modern agile software development lifecycles.
  • Preferred: Interest in team leadership and career growth.
  • Preferred: Experience building applications on top of LLMs using commercial APIs.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Postgres, query optimization, and database indexing.
  • Preferred: Exposure to Python data science tooling such as numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, and pandas.
  • Preferred: Experience with monitoring and observability across deployments and tenants.
  • Preferred: Interest in application security and cloud security.
