Description

  • Design and develop backend APIs for platform, UI, campaign management, configuration, reporting, and operational functions.
  • Develop and maintain Java-based RTB and Ad Exchange services.
  • Build high-throughput, low-latency systems for real-time advertising request and response processing.
  • Develop and maintain Python-based advertising reporting and data-processing services and scripts.
  • Build and support event and reporting pipelines using Kafka, databases, and cloud storage.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize production services, database queries, and data pipelines.
  • Participate in architecture design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with UI, SDK, DevOps, QA, and other engineering teams.
  • Independently understand existing systems and take ownership across APIs, RTB services, and reporting pipelines.

Requirements

  • Strong backend development experience with Python and/or Node.js.
  • Working knowledge of Java and ability to contribute to an existing Java codebase; Scala experience is optional.
  • Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience.
  • Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies.
  • Experience designing distributed, scalable backend systems.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  • Strong debugging, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting abilities.
  • 3+ years of AdTech or programmatic advertising experience, including RTB, OpenRTB, DSPs, SSPs, Ad Exchanges, bidders, impressions, clicks, and advertising reporting.
  • Experience building high-QPS, low-latency systems and large-scale event-processing and reporting pipelines.
  • Experience with Docker, containerized deployments, and monitoring.
  • 5+ years of backend or software engineering experience preferred.
