Description

  • Own and deliver quarterly team goals while guiding engineers through ambiguous, open-ended work.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and product development decisions.
  • Articulate technical constraints and help balance risks and trade-offs in cross-functional planning.
  • Proactively identify project, process, technology, or business issues and lead efforts to resolve them.
  • Support operations and availability of team-owned security artifacts through metrics, escalation, and on-call support.
  • Improve code review and design standards to strengthen quality and ownership across the team.
  • Advocate for engineering standards and practices through writing and technical talks.
  • Develop team talent by providing feedback, guidance, and leading by example.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
  • Experience building highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes resource management, Helm charts, and operator patterns, especially for security workloads.
  • Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with simple, elegant, and extensible designs.
  • Ability to make significant changes in a large codebase and build tools and practices that enable safe changes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
  • Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and a habit of proactively seeking feedback.
  • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
