Description

  • Develop and iterate on fraud prediction models using tabular and behavioral data.
  • Build and scale feature pipelines and training datasets from proprietary and third-party signals.
  • Prototype new modeling ideas, run offline experiments, and productionize the best-performing approaches.
  • Integrate models into batch and/or real-time decision systems with appropriate risk controls.
  • Improve model reliability, latency, and operational robustness in production.
  • Instrument and monitor model and data health as fraud patterns evolve.
  • Define retraining and backtesting workflows to keep models current.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Fraud Analytics, Product, and ML Platform on requirements, tradeoffs, and results.
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer, or a PhD in a relevant field.
  • Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality code.
  • Experience building and evaluating tabular classification models, preferably with LightGBM, XGBoost, CatBoost, or similar gradient-boosted decision trees.
  • Experience with a deep learning framework, preferably PyTorch.
  • Experience with distributed data processing or parallel compute frameworks such as Spark, Ray, or Dask.
  • Experience with ML lifecycle tooling for orchestration, experimentation, and model monitoring such as Kubeflow, Airflow, or MLflow.
  • Proficiency with AI-powered developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, or similar.
  • Ability to design solutions that span multiple software components and implement clear, well-tested, extensible code.
  • Comfort navigating a large codebase, debugging other engineers’ code, and participating in code reviews.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
