Description

  • Report to the Regional Business Leader and align with regional sales goals and strategies.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with healthcare providers, multidisciplinary care teams, key opinion leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver MLR-approved educational and disease-state messages to target healthcare providers.
  • Plan and execute territory business plans to exceed call activity, adherence, and financial goals.
  • Analyze territory sales potential and optimize outreach within budget and compliance guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and support patient access.
  • Participate in patient advocacy events, conferences, weekend events, and training sessions.
  • Stay current on market trends, Acadia products, and the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Guide customers on product pricing and access and serve as a liaison for complex questions.
  • Represent Acadia with professionalism, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in life sciences.
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience for Area Business Manager, including at least 1 year in specialty sales with emphasis in rare diseases.
  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience for Sr. Area Business Manager, including 5 years in specialty sales with emphasis in rare diseases.
  • Preferred experience in specialty sales, rare diseases, CNS/neurology, or pediatric neurology.
  • Familiarity with specialty distribution and access is preferred.
  • Experience building relationships with KOLs, Centers of Excellence, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and execute actionable business plans that support patient access to therapy.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with a self-motivated, proactive attitude.
  • Must live within the territory and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be in good standing with the FDA and OIG, with willingness to travel extensively including overnight and air travel.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time and drive a company-provided car daily.
  • Ability to work after hours as needed based on travel schedule or business needs.

  • Competitive base salary with a salary range of $156,000 to $195,000 USD depending on role level and experience.
