Description

  • Collaborate with technical and product leaders to create test strategies and plans aligned to project goals and timelines.
  • Lead the design and execution oversight of high-impact test activities to ensure quality standards and coverage.
  • Expand and improve automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and process efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary QA contact for development and product management teams to support clear communication and integrated QA execution.
  • Own QA deliverables within projects and support project planning and execution alongside the product development manager.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality standards and best practices across the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, tools, and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay current on testing technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices and recommend practical improvements.
  • Design and execute performance tests including load, stress, soak, spike, and scalability testing.
  • Analyze performance issues and root causes across application, service, and database layers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, including test strategy, planning, execution, maintenance, and test documentation.
  • At least 3 years of experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, or QTP/UFT.
  • Strong leadership experience in Agile and Scrum environments.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and optimizing automated tests for speed and efficiency within them.
  • Advanced programming proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or C#; Java, Python, or Ruby are also mentioned as desired.
  • Deep knowledge of databases and SQL for backend testing and data validation.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Required by the customer: about 7 years of hands-on performance engineering or performance testing experience.
  • Strong proficiency with JMeter, including test plans, correlation, parameterization, assertions, Groovy/Beanshell scripting, and distributed load execution.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, automated performance runs, dashboards, reporting, and work-item tracking.
  • Good working knowledge of Git for branching, merging, pull requests, and repository management.
  • Strong experience with Application Insights and familiarity with APM tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, or Azure Monitor.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON payloads, authentication, and tools such as Postman.
  • Working knowledge of Azure components such as App Service, APIM, Azure SQL/Cosmos DB, autoscaling, and networking fundamentals.
