Description

Direct the manufacturing test engineering team, set objectives, guide initiatives, and evaluate outcomes.
Own the manufacturing test strategy for each product from pre-production through full-rate production.
Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing testing with a focus on automation, consistency, and process efficiency.
Analyze test data, document findings, and identify opportunities to improve products and manufacturing processes.
Communicate scaling plans and technical direction to stakeholders across the organization.
Collaborate with product development teams to ensure designs are testable and production-ready.
Lead procurement and implementation of new test equipment, including cost-benefit and ROI analysis.
Drive improvements in safety, cost, quality, and productivity through testing initiatives.
Serve as the primary technical authority for manufacturing test issues and troubleshoot complex problems.
Design maintenance and calibration protocols for manufacturing test equipment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant industry experience leading manufacturing test engineering.
Experience with Linux, C#, Python, and NixOS.
Experience with PCBA/electronic assembly testing and testing standards.
Proficiency with electronic test equipment.
Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis of non-conforming hardware.
Familiarity with PLM systems, MES, and TES.
Experience managing projects that integrate electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to lead the development of manufacturing test systems and teams (preferred).
Proficiency in LabVIEW, MATLAB, and test automation (preferred).
Knowledge of PCBA design, mechanical design, and ESS testing (preferred).
Familiarity with hardware communication protocols (preferred).
Experience with HASS and ESS-related testing such as thermal and vibration testing (preferred).
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance (preferred).

US salary range of $146,000 to $194,000.
