Description

  • Collaborate with technical leadership and product management to define test strategies and plans aligned to project goals and timelines.
  • Lead test design and oversee execution of critical QA activities across the product lifecycle.
  • Expand and optimize automation frameworks, tools, and testing practices to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Serve as the primary QA contact for development and product management teams and keep QA work transparent within the development process.
  • Support project planning and execution by owning QA deliverables and quality standards.
  • Mentor junior team members and share QA knowledge to raise team capability and consistency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay current on testing technologies, industry best practices, and performance engineering trends, and share recommendations with the team.
  • Design and execute performance tests including load, stress, soak, spike, and scalability testing.
  • Analyze performance metrics, root causes, bottlenecks, and test results, and produce clear reports with recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on software QA experience with test strategy, planning, execution, maintenance, and documentation.
  • At least 3 years of experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, or QTP/UFT.
  • ~7 years of hands-on performance engineering or performance testing experience required by the customer.
  • Strong proficiency with JMeter, including test plans, correlation, parameterization, assertions, Groovy/Beanshell scripting, and distributed load execution.
  • Experience designing and executing load, stress, soak, spike, and scalability tests.
  • Ability to define and track performance metrics such as latency, throughput, error rates, and concurrency.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, automated performance runs, dashboards, reporting, and work-item tracking.
  • Good working knowledge of Git for branching, merging, pull requests, and repository management.
  • Strong experience with Application Insights and familiarity with APM tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, or Azure Monitor.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON payloads, authentication, Postman, and Azure components such as App Service, APIM, Azure SQL/Cosmos DB, autoscaling, and networking fundamentals.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages used for test automation such as Python, Java, or C#; Java, Python, or Ruby are also mentioned as desired capabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of databases and SQL, including complex data validation and backend testing.
  • Proficiency with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Proven leadership in Agile and Scrum environments.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and independent work skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English, written and verbal.
  • Experience with performance reporting, root-cause analysis, telemetry review, and debugging across app, service, and database layers.
