Description

  • Collaborate with technical leads and product development managers to create test strategies and plans aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Lead the design, execution oversight, and coverage of critical testing activities to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Expand and optimize automation frameworks, testing processes, and automation coverage.
  • Serve as the primary QA contact for development and product management teams and keep QA work transparent across the development lifecycle.
  • Support project planning and execution by owning QA deliverables and advocating for quality standards and best practices.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to knowledge sharing, skill development, and process refinement.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for QA tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Stay current on testing technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices and share recommendations with the team.
  • Design and execute performance tests including load, stress, soak, spike, and scalability testing.
  • Prepare performance reports and help identify bottlenecks, risks, and optimization opportunities across application, service, and database layers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, including test strategy, planning, execution, maintenance, and test documentation.
  • At least 3 years of experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, or QTP/UFT.
  • Proven leadership experience in Agile and Scrum environments.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and optimizing automated tests for speed and efficiency.
  • Advanced programming proficiency in languages relevant to test automation such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Deep knowledge of databases and SQL for backend testing and data validation.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Required by the customer: about 7 years of hands-on performance engineering or performance testing experience.
  • Strong proficiency with JMeter, including test plans, correlation, parameterization, assertions, Groovy/Beanshell scripting, and distributed load execution.
  • Experience designing and executing load, stress, soak, spike, and scalability tests.
  • Ability to define and track performance metrics such as latency, throughput, error rates, and concurrency.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, automated performance runs, dashboards, reporting, and work-item tracking.
  • Good working knowledge of Git for branching, merging, pull requests, and repository management.
  • Strong experience with Application Insights and familiarity with APM tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, or Azure Monitor.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON payloads, authentication, and tools such as Postman.
  • Working knowledge of Azure components such as App Service, APIM, Azure SQL/Cosmos DB, autoscaling, and networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to prepare test data, identify environment gaps, resolve technical dependencies, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and independent working skills.
