Description

  • Facilitate communication with client project stakeholders on project status and recommendations.
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of iOS and Android applications using React Native.
  • Develop native modules where needed for iOS and Android mobile features.
  • Own mobile engineering standards, code review practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes for the BX mobile app.
  • Collaborate with backend, data, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features aligned to clinical requirements.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level mobile engineers.
  • Drive improvements in performance, accessibility, and reliability across the mobile platform.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and estimation.
  • Support the Engineering Practice community and contribute to technical capability growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a lead or senior role.
  • Experience leading and architecting React Native applications for iOS and Android in production.
  • Experience developing native modules for iOS using Swift or Objective-C and Android using Kotlin or Java.
  • Experience managing state with Redux, Redux Toolkit, MobX, or similar libraries.
  • Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and defining engineering standards.
  • Experience working in agile/scrum environments with a focus on quality and client collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills and English proficiency.
  • Experience with Expo, Expo EAS, and mobile CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions is preferred.
  • Healthcare, clinical trials, or other regulated-industry software development experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG is preferred.
  • Experience with GraphQL or REST API integration in mobile apps is preferred.
  • Background in performance profiling and offline-first mobile strategies is preferred.
