Description

  • Partner closely with the sales team to generate, qualify, and close sales opportunities.
  • Work with product management, R&D, applications, marketing, field sales, and distributors on content, strategy, collaborations, and go-to-market activities.
  • Maintain records and provide information needed for business forecasting.
  • Gather, process, and share competitive intelligence and market feedback with field sales and internal product management teams.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc business and activity reports.
  • Coordinate and conduct technical and promotional seminars, trade shows, vendor shows, and related activities.
  • Achieve territory sales goals by calling on existing and prospective customers through field visits, email, telephone, and video conference.
  • Develop account growth, penetration, and support activities with the sales team.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and education to colleagues, distributors, and customers.
  • Participate in global and regional Science & Technology Advisor team activities as required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field of study.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including small and large group presentations.
  • Experience with NGS, immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, oncology, or neuroscience through work experience and education.
  • Ability to network effectively inside and outside the company.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand up to 8 hours a day and travel to meet customers.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Overnight travel up to 50% of the time, depending on territory.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle, car insurance, and acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in French and English.
  • PhD in a relevant field of study is preferred.
  • Track record of success in selling and negotiating is preferred.
  • Extensive commercial experience in sales, marketing, or support within the life science research industry serving academic, industrial, hospital, government, biotech, and/or biopharmaceutical accounts is preferred.
  • Deep and broad NGS experience is preferred.
  • Single-cell and spatial genomics experience is preferred.
  • Experience using a CRM system, such as SFDC, is preferred.
  • The role is remote and the incumbent must be located within the territory, with strong preference for access to a major airport.
