Description

  • Lead technical strategy across the full sales lifecycle, including presentations, demonstrations, proposals, proof-of-concepts, and value realization.
  • Drive customer discovery to uncover requirements for ExtraHop solutions.
  • Mitigate technology-related objections during active sales opportunities.
  • Deliver platform demonstrations and position ExtraHop against competitors and broader market alternatives.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts independently, from appliance installation through data interpretation and value presentation.
  • Define compelling events and business drivers, then recommend the best-fit ExtraHop solution.
  • Present the security value proposition and differentiators to prospective customers and solution partners.
  • Lead technical qualification and deal strategy, including mapping capabilities to business drivers and scoping a BOM.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Engineers on proposals and RFIs.
  • Influence product direction and go-to-market strategy by sharing field insights with Product Management.
  • Provide post-sales follow-up, technical training, consulting, and implementation support for key customers.
  • Build and maintain strategic partner relationships and enable partner SEs to represent ExtraHop effectively.
  • Accurately capture sales updates in SFDC and communicate opportunity status to sales leadership.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience selling network and cyber security technology into large enterprises, including routing, switching, and firewall technology.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge.
  • Complex and strategic selling experience.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture concepts and risk management.
  • Working knowledge of protocols across Layers 2-7, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and SSL/TLS.
  • Broad understanding of enterprise information technologies across the OSI stack and cloud concepts such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • In-depth knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering concepts.
  • Knowledge of emerging agentic SOC and NOC workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly, work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and solve problems under pressure.
