Description

  • Coach and develop a team of brokers through hands-on coaching, shadow sessions, file audits, and regular feedback to improve performance and customer experience.
  • Lead daily huddles and conduct regular 1:1s to build a high-performing, resilient sales culture and deliver performance feedback.
  • Drive team performance against measurable outcomes including GWP, binding ratios, conversion metrics, and response times.
  • Manage and optimize a high-volume, fast-moving pipeline where brokers engage 8–15 warm leads per day and work with 50+ providers to bind business quickly.
  • Ensure speed to market without sacrificing quality by enforcing accuracy standards and removing friction from the sales process.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to meet and exceed monthly GWP and sales targets.
  • Support brokers in navigating complex contractor risks and ambiguous situations using judgement and industry knowledge.
  • Collaborate with leadership (reporting to the Associate Director of New Business) to align team activities with broader business objectives and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of insurance experience (commercial insurance experience preferred).
  • 3+ years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
  • Valid provincial broker's license required (RIBO preferred).
  • Proven experience driving team performance and meeting sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Goal-oriented, hunter mentality with persistence and agility to meet targets consistently.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholders under pressure.
  • Comfort working in a data-driven environment and being accountable for metrics such as GWP and conversion ratios.
  • Willingness to own personal development and stay current with industry trends; familiarity with broker management systems and quoting technology is preferred.

  • Base salary range $75,000–$90,000 with total cash compensation (including OTE) around $102,000 and top earning potential of $115,000, plus performance-based case incentive awards.
