Description

  • Coach New Business Brokers through hands-on feedback, shadow sessions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Lead daily huddles, coaching sessions, and file audits to maintain accuracy and service standards.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s and deliver direct feedback to build a resilient, high-performing sales culture.
  • Motivate the team to hit and exceed monthly GWP targets and other performance goals.
  • Work directly with prospects and underwriters to close deals as part of a player-coach role.
  • Help brokers navigate complex contractor risks and make sound judgment calls in ambiguous situations.
  • Monitor and improve team metrics such as GWP, binding ratios, and response times.
  • Support broker development by fostering ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of insurance experience, with commercial insurance experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
  • Valid provincial broker's license, with RIBO preferred.
  • Experience driving team performance and managing sales targets.
  • Strong sales orientation with a hunter mentality, persistence, and agility.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, high-velocity brokerage model.
  • Dedication to personal growth and staying current on industry trends.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $75,000 - $90,000 per year.
  • Total cash compensation including OTE of $102,000, with top earning potential of $115,000.
  • Performance-based case incentive awards may be available.
