Description

  • Own internal tools and platform capabilities end to end, from problem discovery and design through implementation, deployment, and iteration.
  • Build full-stack solutions across Python/Go services, TypeScript/React interfaces, event-driven integrations, and GCP infrastructure.
  • Integrate third-party SaaS platforms and cloud APIs using REST, webhooks, OAuth, and event-driven patterns while handling failures, retries, and schema drift.
  • Design and maintain workflow automation and business process orchestration as observable flows instead of logic embedded in vendor scripts.
  • Use AI tooling throughout the development lifecycle for specification, coding, and review while remaining accountable for the final output.
  • Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and type safety before release.
  • Operate production systems by monitoring reliability, cost, and failure modes, and iterating based on real-world behavior.
  • Contribute to shared engineering standards, playbooks, and internal tooling.

Requirements

  • 3-9 years of professional software engineering experience is typically expected, though experience is treated as a signal rather than a hard gate.
  • Experience shipping and operating production software with real users from brief through deployment.
  • Proficiency in Python or Go, with the ability to own backend services from design to Cloud Run deployment.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and React for building complete internal web applications or admin tools.
  • Experience deploying and operating workloads on GCP, including IAM, secrets management, Cloud Run, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience integrating multiple third-party platforms in production using REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows, and event-driven patterns.
  • Strong security hygiene, including no hardcoded credentials, use of secrets management such as SOPS or Secret Manager, and no PII in logs.
  • Active use of AI tooling such as Claude Code or equivalent across the SDLC, with the ability to critically review AI-generated output and direct multi-step implementation tasks.
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n or Zapier is preferred.
  • Experience with business process orchestration tools such as Camunda, Temporal, or similar BPMN/workflow engines is preferred.
  • Systems-level programming experience with async runtimes, IPC, process lifecycle, or protocol clients is preferred.
  • Experience with graph algorithms or graph databases such as Neo4j or Cypher is preferred.
  • Experience with Rust or Tauri for desktop application development is preferred.
  • Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform is preferred.
  • Experience integrating LLM APIs, including prompt design and tool use, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AI safety and compliance considerations, including data boundaries, output risk, and regulatory awareness, is preferred.
