Description

  • Own and oversee global revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
  • Serve as the primary authority on revenue accounting matters and provide guidance on complex or non-standard transactions.
  • Review customer contracts, pricing models, and deal structures to determine appropriate revenue treatment.
  • Ensure consistent application of revenue policies across regions, entities, and revenue streams.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes with accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
  • Oversee deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, contract assets, and contract liabilities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors on revenue-related matters.
  • Own revenue-related processes and configurations within NetSuite, including revenue modules and reporting.
  • Partner with Finance Systems, IT, Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Billing, and FP&A on systems, deal structuring, forecasting, automation, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent professional certification.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years focused on revenue accounting.
  • Deep expertise in ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
  • Experience in SaaS, cloud, or technology environments.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, including revenue modules and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Experience working in global, multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance execution and strategic thinking.
  • Experience with usage-based or consumption revenue models, preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce, billing platforms, or revenue automation tools, preferred.
  • Prior people management or team leadership experience, preferred.
  • Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments, preferred.
