Description

  • Lead the technical evolution of Yuno's APIs and payment integrations and set architectural direction and engineering standards.
  • Hire, mentor, coach, and develop engineers while building a high-performing engineering culture.
  • Own system and integration architecture for backend services and payment flows.
  • Contribute hands-on to development, architecture decisions, and code reviews.
  • Drive best practices in API design, testing, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Partner with Product, Backend, and Payments teams to align technical solutions with business and merchant needs.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, well-documented, and able to support enterprise merchants and global payment volumes.
  • Provide technical guidance and architectural mentorship to help the team grow its capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing and growing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strong ability to drive technical decisions and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience in payments companies, payments-related teams, or PSP integrations.
  • Deep experience with payments infrastructure, including network tokens, routing, and transaction optimization.
  • Solid hands-on backend engineering experience with Java, Golang, Kotlin, or similar languages.
  • Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices and OWASP principles.
  • Experience setting standards for AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and code generation using LLMs and tools like Claude Code or similar.
  • Experience delivering in agile environments and adapting processes to what works for the team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced English proficiency required.
