Description

  • Foster relationships with Tier 1 and local media outlets and partners across the MENA region.
  • Contribute to marketing communications plans, including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics.
  • Develop and execute a strategic media relations plan to secure print, broadcast, and online placements in English and Arabic outlets.
  • Coordinate public relations activities, including event logistics and speaking opportunities at regional games, fintech, and web3 events.
  • Collaborate with the integrated marketing manager to create content for traditional and new media channels in line with regional cultural norms.
  • Leverage existing media relationships and build new contacts across business, technology, and gaming media in MENA.
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Write press releases, bylined articles, and presentation scripts.
  • Evaluate partnership, sponsorship, and advertising opportunities within the regional gaming and entertainment ecosystem.
  • Build relationships with thought leaders, government innovation bodies, and gaming ecosystem stakeholders to raise industry awareness.

Requirements

  • BA or MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience planning and executing successful public relations campaigns in domestic and international settings.
  • Strong MENA market experience, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
  • Established networks with local and international business and industry media across the MENA region.
  • Experience with content creators and influencers is an advantage.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across short-form, long-form, branded content, and light ad copy.
  • PR event planning and execution experience in the MENA region.
  • Experience handling crisis communications.
  • Video game industry experience is required; fintech experience is a bonus.
  • Ability to localize press releases for Arabic-language markets and understand regional cultural nuances.
  • Knowledge of local data privacy regulations, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 and Saudi Arabia's PDPL.
  • Fluency in English is required; professional fluency in Arabic and/or Hebrew is strongly preferred.
  • Additional European or regional language skills are a bonus.
  • Ability to self-motivate, work independently across time zones, and contribute in a globally distributed team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and work well with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
