Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines.
  • Architect event-driven systems and high-volume data processing infrastructure.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services, including ECS, S3, and SQS.
  • Develop containerized application deployments and real-time data pipelines.
  • Build and maintain integrations with global ground station networks.
  • Develop satellite tasking, telemetry, and command software.
  • Automate data ingestion, processing, and delivery workflows.
  • Support image processing pipelines for hyperspectral Earth observation data.
  • Lead development efforts independently and ship high-quality code.
  • Collaborate with spacecraft, payload, and mission engineering teams to ensure flight readiness.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience focused on cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and backend infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Kotlin and TypeScript, with Python experience.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, especially ECS, S3, and SQS.
  • Experience building containerized applications and real-time data pipelines.
  • Strong background in designing, scaling, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure, event-driven systems, and high-volume data processing.
  • Ability to independently lead development efforts, ship high-quality code, and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Rust is preferred.
  • Experience with Ray Data Pipelines is preferred.
  • Astrodynamics, GNC, or physics experience for satellite simulations is preferred.
  • Experience migrating systems to new languages, frameworks, or infrastructures is preferred.
  • Availability to support critical integration, testing, or launch activities outside standard working hours when required.

  • Salary range of USD $130,000 to $180,000 per year.
