Description

  • Partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention.
  • Join onsite customer visits when appropriate to support sales conversations and relationship building.
  • Discover, organize, and execute major customer projects from the front lines of aerospace and defense manufacturing.
  • Proactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges, including DFM issues.
  • Stay aligned on upcoming customer projects and initiatives to ensure fit with Xometry’s capabilities.
  • Gather customer insights and feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Assist Pre-Sales Engineering by gathering and synthesizing information needed to prepare accurate and competitive quotes.
  • Combine customer, partner, and internal system knowledge to respond quickly to customer needs and move projects toward delivery.
  • Provide project management and oversight for complex opportunities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in aerospace and defense engineering and manufacturing roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Experience using Xometry’s services from a customer perspective; partner perspective is a bonus.
  • Deep familiarity with the methods, materials, culture, and products of aerospace and defense organizations such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Blue Origin, Anduril, General Dynamics, Moog, and SpaceX.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including drawings and GD&T.
  • Particularly strong experience in CNC machining; experience with composites, plastics, harnesses, and sheet metal fabrication is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100d, ITAR, NIST, and other common compliance and certification requirements.
  • Excellent English communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, including in remote/digital environments.
  • Ability to travel to customer and/or partner sites as needed, typically 25%-35%.
  • Mountain or Pacific time zone preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
