Description

  • Use data analysis, visualization, and modeling tools to support business strategy and marketplace cost prediction.
  • Design and execute data science projects involving hypothesis development, statistical analysis, and A/B testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data science solutions.
  • Evaluate algorithm accuracy and performance, recommend optimizations, and update production code.
  • Query and extract data from Snowflake, MongoDB, and other databases for analysis and model development.
  • Apply reproducible, version-controlled, and deployable data science practices.
  • Iterate on solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in applied mathematics, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, and Python API integrations preferred.
  • Proficiency in applied statistics, including probability distributions, confidence intervals, statistical tests, and power analysis.
  • Experience with pricing algorithms and technology-driven product development.
  • Knowledge of version control, code reproducibility, scientific software principles, and deployment practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities.
  • Availability to work core hours aligned with US Eastern Time (GMT-5).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and global teams.
