Description

  • Lead development of statistical and machine learning methods for cancer signal detection in multimodal genomic data.
  • Build interpretable, well-calibrated models with robust uncertainty estimation and reproducibility.
  • Prototype, test, and productionize machine learning models using scalable infrastructure.
  • Own technical deliverables and contribute to the team’s research roadmap.
  • Collaborate with molecular biologists and clinical scientists on experiments and validation studies.
  • Conduct code and design reviews across projects.
  • Communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentor junior scientists and promote scientific collaboration and excellence.

Requirements

  • PhD in computer science, mathematics, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field, with 6–12 years of post-PhD experience.
  • Experience developing novel statistical or machine learning methods for complex biological data.
  • Proven innovation and technical leadership in complex method-development projects.
  • Expertise in deep learning and multimodal foundation models.
  • Proficiency in Python and its scientific computing ecosystem.
  • Strong scientific rigor and willingness to learn and teach computational methods and biology.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with DNA methylation and other epigenomic data preferred.
  • Experience with cell-free DNA, liquid biopsy samples, cancer genomics, or diagnostics preferred.
  • Hands-on experience applying multimodal foundation models to biological data preferred.
