Description

  • Initiate, identify, prospect, and target new accounts for new logo acquisition.
  • Close new business opportunities and hand off new accounts to the account management team.
  • Educate prior customer prospects on new Thomasnet.com solutions.
  • Manage contracts and business relationships to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
  • Use an extensive database to develop pipelines for new accounts and close new business programs.
  • Research and target key decision-makers to initiate the sales process and provide solutions.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients and accounts to support satisfaction with Thomasnet programs and solutions.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to document and track customer projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver compelling product demos, discuss contract terms, quote prices, and close sales.
  • Resolve prospect inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely, professional, and personable manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in a strategic business development role with closing experience.
  • B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Extensive prospecting experience and a proven track record of success in business development roles.
  • Self-starter mindset with an inquisitive approach and the ability to sell complex solutions.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Experience using a CRM, preferably Salesforce or a similar system.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting tools such as Zoom, WebEx, or GoToMeeting.
  • Ability to understand how technology products, services, and solutions solve business problems.
  • Coachability, growth mindset, and willingness to learn from peers and feedback.
  • Ability to build a consistent new business revenue pipeline.
  • Commitment and curiosity to stay current with industry trends.
