Description

  • Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing family law pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and other legal documents.
  • Manage client files and maintain organized case records in both electronic and physical formats.
  • Coordinate meetings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Prepare and organize trial, mediation, and event materials, including exhibits and witness lists.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial motions and related documents.
  • Manage the e-filing process for legal documents and maintain accurate filing records.
  • Monitor court-mandated deadlines and other time-sensitive matters.
  • Handle incoming calls, route inquiries appropriately, and support correspondence with relevant parties.
  • Provide timely client updates and maintain client confidentiality and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in family law, including marriage, divorce, custody, and support cases.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Strong understanding of family law and legal procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal software.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills, including the ability to draft complex legal documents.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, attorneys, and staff.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
