Description

  • Assist with coding patient visits at the end of each day.
  • Organize and support clinical documentation for patient visits.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Submit prior authorization requests to insurance providers.
  • Track prior authorization status and required documentation.
  • Send specialist referrals and coordinate referral documentation.
  • Research and locate appropriate specialist providers when needed.
  • Review and input laboratory results into the system.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Provide general administrative support to reduce the provider’s workload and flag potential claim issues for provider review.

Requirements

  • Healthcare background preferred, such as nursing, medical assistant, or clinical support experience.
  • Prior virtual assistant experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical billing and coding concepts is helpful but not required.
  • Healthcare workflow knowledge, including patient visits, referrals, and authorization workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing information in documentation.
  • Comfort supporting visit documentation and coding preparation.
  • Experience with prior authorization requests and tracking is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and patient records efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate professionally.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills, plus relevant work experience and an NBI clearance or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Availability for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Reliable laptop or desktop, high-speed internet of at least 10 Mbps, noise-canceling headset, webcam, and a quiet professional workspace.
  • Comfortable working in electronic health record systems, with Charm EHR preferred.

  • Flexible part-time schedule of 20 hours per week with work hours between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM EDT, Monday through Friday.
