Description

  • Accurately document patient visits and medical notes.
  • Support providers with detailed medical documentation and SOAP note preparation.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of patient records.
  • Reduce documentation burden on in-house medical assistants by handling scribing workflows.
  • Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally.
  • Support patient communication, follow-up, and care coordination.
  • Assist with patient triage and route patient concerns appropriately.
  • Provide administrative support for clinic workflows and documentation tasks.
  • Work within Athena Health and use Availity for insurance verification as needed.

Requirements

  • Extensive medical scribing experience is required.
  • Healthcare industry experience is required.
  • Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency is required.
  • Pain management experience is preferred.
  • Strong experience with medical documentation workflows is required.
  • Familiarity with SOAP note formatting is preferred.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows is required.
  • Experience using Athena Health or a similar EHR/EMR system is required.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification systems such as Availity is required.
  • Must speak and write English very clearly and professionally.
  • Must be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Must have a reliable laptop or desktop computer, high-speed internet of at least 10 Mbps, a noise-canceling headset, a webcam, and a quiet professional workspace.
