Description

  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of request intake programs across teams and departments.
  • Define metrics and milestones to track program success and enable meaningful impact.
  • Improve team practices, workflows, and processes at the wishlist program level.
  • Support community organizations in implementing related programming to expand audience reach.
  • Manage budgets, resources, external vendors, and consultants for intake activities.
  • Coordinate teams across functional boundaries, both internal and external.
  • Maintain clear documentation and transparent reporting for all stakeholders.
  • Communicate portfolio vision and direction to varied stakeholder audiences.
  • Lead capacity planning, identify gaps, and recommend resource allocation or escalation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community members, leaders, movement organizations, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in community management and community service ownership, with a portfolio of past projects led.
  • 8+ years of experience managing multi-stakeholder groups including staff, partner organizations, and volunteers.
  • Proven success delivering results on large teams and complex projects while balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong program management skills including prioritization, organization, planning, time management, facilitation, problem solving, and decision-making.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with executive presentation experience.
  • Ability to build rapport and influence distributed teams across different cultures, communication styles, and learning styles.
  • Commitment to and experience in creating a culture of equity, inclusion, and diversity.
  • Ability to work through complexity and turn ambiguity into action.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an international organization with a distributed workforce (preferred).
  • Experience working with the Wikimedia community or within a values-driven movement (preferred).
  • Current work authorization in the hiring location, if outside the U.S.
