Description

  • Partner with FP&A leadership to evaluate and redesign reporting, planning, and analytical processes.
  • Reverse-engineer complex Excel workbooks and manual workflows, including their sources, logic, calculations, and user needs.
  • Build automated solutions using SQL, Python, ETL/data transformation, APIs, and AI tools.
  • Resolve data quality, mapping, reconciliation, and data-grain issues across multiple systems.
  • Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends, anomalies, relationships, and business drivers.
  • Design dashboards, interactive HTML reports, driver-based analyses, exception reporting, and monitoring workflows.
  • Explore and build AI-assisted and agentic workflows connecting LLMs with data, tools, APIs, and reporting processes.
  • Partner with Data Analytics and Data Engineering on infrastructure standards, pipelines, and data marts.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for Finance leaders and business stakeholders.
  • Help build the FP&A AI repository, including documentation, business logic, conventions, and repeatable workflows.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong SQL skills, including joining tables, tracing data grain, identifying duplicates, and validating results.
  • Practical Python proficiency for data transformation, analysis, and automation.
  • Strong ETL/ELT knowledge and the ability to define requirements, validate outputs, and coordinate with Data Engineering.
  • Experience building dashboards or reporting experiences with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or interactive HTML/web technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience automating recurring data or reporting workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including deconstructing sophisticated undocumented workbooks.
  • Fluent written and spoken English for communication with global stakeholders and executives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Experience with FP&A or another analytical business function, financial concepts, legacy Excel modernization, distributed data systems, remote teams, or AI/agentic tooling preferred.
