Description

  • Perform translations for assigned clients and projects using standard translation tools.
  • Translate a variety of content types, including marketing, help, UI, and regulated content.
  • Support copy-edit tasks on selected content types.
  • Use CAT tools and related translation tools, including tools for queries and live UI checks.
  • Follow client-specific translation processes, style guides, and requirements precisely.
  • Raise queries whenever clarification is needed during the translation process.
  • Improve work quality based on corrections from senior team members and client reviewers.
  • Track personal error statistics and work on identified weak points.
  • Participate in internal trainings and client-led trainings.
  • Take part in error arbitration, quality meetings, and client quality calls.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and on-time delivery KPIs and team goals.

Requirements

  • University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistic Studies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • If educated in another field, 2 years of full-time translation experience is required; alternatively, 5 years of full-time professional translating experience.
  • Native fluency in the target language.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • 2-4 years of experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing.
  • Good understanding of the localization process.
  • Experience using standard software such as Windows and Office applications.
  • Experience with standard CAT tools such as XTM and SDL Studio.
  • Experience with issue tracking and query management tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to learn new localization tools and applications quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and in a virtual team.
  • Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and linguists.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables.
  • Fast learner, motivated, and versatile.
