Description

Perform translations and review Telugu translation tasks with quality assurance checks.
Copy-edit and conduct linguistic reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and style adherence.
Provide feedback to translators and freelancers to improve translation quality.
Manage and maintain language assets such as glossaries, style guides, and work instructions.
Handle linguistic queries from translators, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with the translation team to resolve terminology, style, and linguistic issues.
Support onboarding, development, and training of new linguists and freelancers when needed.
Participate in developing improved review and quality processes.
Meet or exceed quality and productivity KPIs.
Work toward goals set by the Squad Lead or Language Lead.

Requirements

University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years of experience in translation, review, or localization.
Native fluency in Telugu (India).
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Solid understanding of the localization process and review workflows.
Proficiency with standard software such as Windows and MS Office.
Hands-on experience with CAT tools such as XTM, SDL Studio, Polyglot, MateCat, ATMS, and fbCAT.
Experience with query and issue management tools such as JIRA.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new localization tools.
Strong attention to detail and excellent review and editing skills.
Ability to give clear, concise, and constructive feedback to linguists.
Excellent terminology management knowledge in one or more subject areas.
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle varied linguistic issues.
Ability and willingness to train and mentor others when required.
Positive approach to client and stakeholder communication.
Ability to work successfully in a virtual, global team.
