Description

  • Collaborate with operations, product management, and engineering to build new technologies and features.
  • Build production systems that prevent fraud.
  • Prototype, implement, and productionize new anti-fraud solutions at scale.
  • Ensure successful deliveries and maintain the long-term technical health of key journeys.
  • Maintain high code quality standards and apply development best practices.
  • Participate in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment.
  • Own critical features and follow up on engineering SLOs and product KPIs.
  • Work with product teams and stakeholders to influence business outcomes.
  • Mentor other engineers.
  • Support a culture that prioritizes wellbeing and work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience in backend development and microservices architecture is mandatory.
  • Experience developing RESTful web services.
  • Experience with Java or Kotlin.
  • Nice to have experience with Golang.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB, including common use cases and performance pitfalls.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Kafka, AWS SQS, and AWS SNS.
  • Experience applying computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures; AWS experience is nice to have.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese.
  • Must be located in Brazil for this remote role.
