Description

  • Build new services to support critical business needs using Golang, gRPC, TypeScript, and React.
  • Develop applications and integrations that increase productivity and automate work for customer agents and other users.
  • Support team members on design techniques, coding standards, testing, release and deployment processes, documentation, metrics, logging, and scaling.
  • Contribute improvements across multiple teams by leveraging Coinbase’s platform, development practices, and technical domains.
  • Participate in ideation, review, and execution of innovative ideas to solve business problems.
  • Anticipate issues early and adapt approaches to avoid negative impact within constraints.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical leaders across the company.
  • Explain complex technical topics clearly to non-technical team members.
  • Collaborate with teams and teammates across multiple time zones.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in software engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing web applications and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks like React.
  • Experience with third-party vendor integrations.
  • Experience working with large-scale, high-traffic platforms and building scalable, robust services.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite, or similar tools.
  • Experience with rate limiters, caching, load balancing, circuit breakers, metrics, logging, tracing, and debugging.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures such as Kafka or MQ.
  • Proficiency in either SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of gRPC, GraphQL, and ETL concepts.
  • Proficiency in Go.
  • Preferred experience with Python or Ruby.
  • Preferred experience with Kafka, MongoDB, or Snowflake.
  • Preferred SaaS platform experience.
  • Preferred experience building applications using OpenAI, ChatGPT, or other third-party integrations.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $147,900 to $174,000 USD.
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
