Description

Build new services to meet critical business needs using Golang, gRPC, TypeScript, and React.
Develop applications that help Coinbase customer agents and other users increase productivity and drive automation at scale.
Support teammates with design techniques and best practices across coding, testing, deployment, documentation, metrics, logging, and scaling.
Improve and extend Coinbase’s platform and development practices across multiple teams.
Participate in an environment where ideas are generated, reviewed, and turned into action.
Identify potential issues early and adapt approaches to avoid negative impact.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical leaders across the company.
Distill complex technical topics into clear explanations for non-technical team members.
Work collaboratively with teams across multiple time zones.
Integrate third-party services and vendor systems into full-stack applications.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 3 years of experience developing web applications and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks like React.
Experience with third-party vendor integrations.
Experience building and operating large-scale, high-traffic platforms.
Experience implementing scalable, robust services in production environments.
Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite, or similar tools.
Experience with rate limiters, caching, load balancing, circuit breakers, metrics, logging, tracing, and debugging.
Experience with event-driven architectures such as Kafka or MQ.
Proficiency in either SQL or NoSQL databases.
Understanding of concepts like gRPC, GraphQL, and ETL.
Proficiency in Go.
Preferred experience with Python or Ruby.
Preferred experience with Kafka, MongoDB, or Snowflake.
Preferred experience working on SaaS platforms.
Preferred experience with applications using OpenAI, ChatGPT, or other third-party integrations.

Benefits

Annual base salary range of $147,900 to $174,000 USD, excluding equity and bonus.
Eligibility for equity and bonus compensation.

Remote-first flexibility with required in-person participation throughout the year.
Company and team offsites held multiple times annually, fully supported by Coinbase.
