Description

  • Develop and execute near- and long-term business development strategies and campaigns aligned with Annual Operating Plan and long-range strategic objectives.
  • Lead the full capture lifecycle and strategic planning process for business development efforts.
  • Engage customers and vendors to shape pre-solicitation activities and respond to RFIs, RFPs, and other partner and customer requests.
  • Track emerging markets and industry trends, and develop new offerings or strategic partnerships to address competition, pricing, and demand changes.
  • Collaborate with line-of-business leaders, technology development, product development, finance, marketing, and other stakeholders to drive long-term growth.
  • Attend industry events to represent the company, build relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Foster an entrepreneurial growth culture across the company and its teams.
  • Brief executive leadership on business development activities and progress.
  • Prioritize and track multiple workstreams across teams to ensure timely execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or management; master’s degree in business administration or engineering preferred.
  • 12+ years of professional experience in the space industry, with notable experience in national security space.
  • 10+ years of sales and business development experience developing a strong pipeline in a technology, defense, or aerospace company.
  • Experience executing business development activities, including briefing executive leadership.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and IDIQ contracting preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with customers, partners, vendors, and the press.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, research, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate ideas, opportunities, issues, options, and recommendations effectively to senior leadership.
  • Must possess or be able to secure a Secret Department of War security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Person eligible to obtain required export authorizations under ITAR/EAR regulations.
