Description

  • Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code, with an emphasis on repeatability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing, provisioning, deployments, and rollbacks.
  • Build and maintain platform observability through monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and dashboards.
  • Improve security posture across infrastructure, including secrets management, encryption, IAM, network segmentation, and vulnerability management.
  • Drive compliance readiness and support controls across SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and related frameworks.
  • Lead incident response and the on-call rotation, including blameless postmortems and mean-time-to-recovery improvements.
  • Define and uphold reliability targets, capacity planning, and performance tuning as the platform scales.
  • Leverage AI-powered tooling to accelerate infrastructure-as-code, automation, incident triage, and internal tooling.
  • Partner with engineering to improve developer experience, deployment velocity, and reduce operational toil.
  • Set technical direction for platform and infrastructure and mentor engineers on DevOps, reliability, and security best practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering within a software engineering organization.
  • Deep expertise with a major cloud provider, with GCP preferred.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Production experience with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
  • Experience building robust CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
  • Proficiency with observability and monitoring stacks such as Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or CloudWatch.
  • Solid scripting and programming skills in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript/Node.
  • Strong grasp of cloud security best practices, including least-privilege access, secrets management, encryption, network security, and vulnerability management.
  • Hands-on experience supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA, including audit readiness and compliance automation.
  • Proficiency with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Experience leading incident response and participating in an on-call rotation for production systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document systems and write actionable runbooks.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Experience managing or collaborating with distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with identity verification products or AI/ML-based solutions is a plus.
  • US work authorization is required, and the role is remote but must be based in the US.
