Description

  • Provide technical leadership on the team’s solutions and help improve coding practices, team principles, and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and internal stakeholders to gather technical requirements.
  • Author and maintain process and design documentation and model best practices.
  • Build and support backend logic, APIs, data pipelines, and customer interfaces as needed.
  • Work primarily in the backend and data handling layers, with occasional front-end development.
  • Contribute to core systems that support the energy transition and grid resilience.
  • Partner with other senior engineers in a highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a code-contributing engineer.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Multiple years of experience with one or more foundational backend technologies and databases.
  • Strong foundational programming skills and depth in some core technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated contributions to engineering culture and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to work in the US or Canada without sponsorship.
  • A GitHub account link must be included in the application.
  • Experience with Python, Postgres, Go, FastAPI, Temporal, Delta Lake, ClickHouse, TypeScript, React, Docker, HashiCorp stack, or AWS is valued, though not required.
  • Experience working in a remote, distributed environment is preferred.
