Description

  • Own and manage the launch of new Via services, from technology implementation to operational setup.
  • Define, track, and manage service KPIs including on-time performance, rider satisfaction, safety, and cost efficiency.
  • Translate weekly and monthly performance data into operational decisions.
  • Lead a 30+ member team of field operators and drivers, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and culture setting.
  • Build a high-accountability, well-supported frontline operation and develop frontline leaders for expanded roles.
  • Own Via's relationship with the transit agency partner, including coordination with its board, elected officials, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent Via to community stakeholders, local officials, and riders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in vehicle operations, maintenance protocols, and service delivery.
  • Identify and execute cost and efficiency improvements that strengthen margin without compromising service.
  • Influence the product roadmap for Via's newest products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in tech operations, startup expansion, or an execution-focused consulting role.
  • Proven experience implementing projects and running operations, not just designing strategies.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret operational data and make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguity and adapt quickly when launch plans encounter real-world friction.
  • Clear, effective communication skills with experience managing partner relationships and diverse viewpoints.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Experience in public mobility, transit, or similar high-visibility, high-complexity operations is a plus.
