Description

  • Lead end-to-end program management for HCM implementation across payroll and compensation modules, serving as the compliance owner and primary liaison between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with technical leads on system configuration, security settings, integrations, and data migration to translate compliance requirements into technical specifications.
  • Serve as the bridge between IT teams and business users by translating technical concepts and compliance requirements in both directions.
  • Define business requirements, compliance specifications, and control objectives for implementation decisions.
  • Drive change management for system upgrades, process changes, and new control implementations.
  • Design, implement, and maintain internal controls and ITGC frameworks for HR and payroll systems.
  • Own internal compliance controls for People processes, including documentation, testing, remediation, and continuous monitoring.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, Legal, Security, compliance teams, and external auditors for control testing, evidence gathering, and audit readiness.
  • Design and implement security controls for sensitive people data, including access management, segregation of duties, data privacy, and system security configurations.
  • Oversee payroll processing and compensation administration, including salary changes, equity grants, bonus calculations, and commission processing.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with internal controls, ITGC, and compliance frameworks in HR/payroll systems environments.
  • Experience managing enterprise HCM implementations such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms, especially in payroll and compensation modules.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between IT/technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience acting as the primary point of contact during audit cycles, including evidence gathering, testing coordination, and remediation management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with internal compliance, including control design, testing, documentation, and audit support.
  • Experience implementing security controls in HR/payroll systems, including access management, segregation of duties, and data privacy protocols.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of IT security frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 as applied to HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, tax compliance, wage and hour laws, and compensation regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
  • Big 4 consulting, internal audit, or IT audit background preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CPP, or related audit credentials preferred.
  • Familiarity with equity compensation administration, including RSUs, stock options, and ESPP, preferred.
  • Experience in high-growth technology or defense industry environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal contractor compliance requirements such as OFCCP and E-Verify preferred.
  • Experience implementing controls during M&A or rapid-growth scenarios preferred.
