Description

  • Design, build, and optimize multi-region, highly available AWS infrastructure managed through code.
  • Automate infrastructure using GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and self-healing systems.
  • Implement observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to identify bottlenecks and improve reliability.
  • Lead incident management and conduct blameless post-mortems to strengthen operational resilience.
  • Partner with Product, Security, and Core Engineering teams to create platform “Golden Paths” and improve engineering velocity.
  • Mentor engineers and influence engineering practices within the platform domain.
  • Implement and operate high-performance, low-latency private connectivity for external customers.
  • Partner with engineering teams on platform enablement, design, and adoption.
  • Own architecture, execution, and reliability standards for designated platform domains.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience owning outcomes in complex, large-scale distributed systems and mission-critical environments.
  • Strong proficiency with AWS and Terraform for building reproducible infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including EKS, Docker, and GitOps workflows.
  • Experience with Flux, Argo, or GitHub Actions.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Bash for infrastructure automation and operational tooling.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, API gateways, load balancing, and network isolation.
  • Experience with tokenization, payment processing, or security products is preferred.
  • Experience with distributed streaming platforms such as Kafka or MSK is preferred.
  • Database performance tuning, Java/Spring familiarity, a BA/BS degree, and startup experience are preferred.
