Description

  • Build, advance, and maintain an active sales pipeline aligned to annual quota and forecasting expectations.
  • Identify, qualify, advance, and close opportunities for Versaterm’s public safety solutions.
  • Articulate Versaterm’s value propositions to local government agency prospects and decision-makers.
  • Demonstrate software solutions to agency leadership and end users.
  • Manage opportunity activities and sales processes in Salesforce CRM.
  • Stay current on the public safety competitive landscape and technology trends.
  • Work within Versaterm’s sales parameters while operating in a fast-moving business unit.
  • Support team objectives, departmental needs, and organizational priorities as assigned.
  • Lead the ongoing business relationship with clients in the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of selling experience, including 3-5+ years selling public safety technology such as CAD, RMS, or related software/hardware to government agencies.
  • Experience managing complex, long-duration B2G sales cycles from lead development through close.
  • Proven success meeting sales quotas and building pipelines in net-new territories.
  • Strong applications background and understanding of software systems.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to support complex sales transactions and issue resolution.
  • Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, peers, and management in a polished, professional manner.
  • Proven self-starter with a strong work ethic and ownership of a sales territory.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability security clearance.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive fingerprint-based background check and meet CJIS security policy requirements.
  • Experience with public safety opportunity creation, advancement, and closing is highly desirable.
