Description

  • Manage and audit daily settlement operations across ACH, wire, card, and alternative payment methods.
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve exceptions, rejects, discrepancies, and returned items in payment processing.
  • Reconcile daily transactions and invoice-related payment activity, escalating unresolved issues as needed.
  • Lead automation initiatives that reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve payment workflows and system capabilities.
  • Prepare reports and analyze settlement performance, identifying trends and recommending process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Serve as the escalation point for payment-related issues and partner with Legal and Compliance when needed.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of settlement analysts and specialists.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Customer Support, and external vendors to maintain seamless operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payment operations.
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Strong understanding of settlement systems, ACH processing, and dispute resolution.
  • Experience with automation tools and ERP/payment platforms.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with payment processing platforms and settlement automation tools such as Aurum Solutions, AutoRek, or similar (preferred).
  • Experience scaling operations in high-growth environments (preferred).
  • Knowledge of current and emerging payment technologies (preferred).
