Description

  • Develop new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying key contacts within strategic accounts and targets.
  • Create and execute account strategies and sales plans to achieve or exceed quota.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers to understand client goals and align solutions to those needs.
  • Anticipate and mitigate prospect and client challenges through proactive engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and prospect/client stakeholders to scope and develop solutions.
  • Manage opportunity activity, planning, and forecasting through closure.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Velsera’s product portfolio, genomics, bioinformatics, and client scientific direction.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals in response to customer needs.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to position Velsera’s differentiators.
  • Represent Velsera at industry meetings and conferences as needed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of direct selling experience in SaaS or genetics/genomics solutions to life science organizations and academic medical centers.
  • Experience executing multimillion-dollar sales cycles in a consultative selling environment.
  • Proven track record of closing strategic enterprise deals of $1M+ in total contract value.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Knowledge of strategic sales development techniques.
  • SFDC and Microsoft Office experience strongly preferred.
  • BS in Genetics, Microbiology, or a related degree.
  • Ability to network across all organizational levels and build relationships with senior leadership.
  • Ability to clearly present technical and/or scientific concepts and materials.
  • English language proficiency is mandatory.
