Description

  • Set go-to-market strategy with mission team leadership to create new footholds in existing defense programs and develop them into new programs.
  • Execute growth initiatives from concept through contract close to deliver major business outcomes.
  • Build and lead a team around early footholds developed in the first year.
  • Launch foothold pilots and convert successful pilots into larger, paid engagements.
  • Translate proven products into new mission contexts that fit Coast Guard needs, constraints, and procurement realities.
  • Connect credibly with operational end users and build trust across stakeholders from field operators to senior leadership.
  • Develop and guide a greenfield growth strategy for a new federal vertical.
  • Shape and communicate technology narratives aligned to Coast Guard priorities such as maritime domain awareness, coastal security, and operational intelligence.

Requirements

  • U.S. Persons status with at least a current Top Secret U.S. DoD or IC clearance.
  • 7+ years of experience working with U.S. government leaders across defense, homeland security, or national security missions.
  • Experience in acquisition, program management, intelligence, or operational policy.
  • Direct experience working with the U.S. Coast Guard, ideally with CG-2 (Intelligence), CG-3 (Operations), or CG-7 (Mission Support).
  • Experience with innovation or rapid capability organizations such as DIU, Raptor, RDC, or equivalent Coast Guard innovation teams.
  • Strong understanding of major Coast Guard mission initiatives and the ability to tailor technology narratives to those priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to start net-new business within a federal organization and guide pilots into funded programs.
  • Experience launching and scaling pilots with federal customers, including defining scope, success criteria, and conversion to paid engagements.
  • Well-established network across the Coast Guard ecosystem, including HQ, districts, acquisitions, intelligence, and innovation communities.
  • Mission-domain experience in national security technology, especially where software or data platforms support operational decision-making.
