Description

  • Research and target potential sales opportunities within the assigned region.
  • Prospect new institutional customers through cold calling, email outreach, trade show leads, and inbound website leads.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline and forecast sales performance.
  • Develop and test sales strategies and models to improve new business results.
  • Present UWorld products through webinars, orientations, on-site presentations, and sales demos.
  • Meet with decision makers and prioritize opportunities at the state, district, and school levels.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows to generate leads and expand market presence.
  • Collaborate with sales, product development, and technical account teams to share market feedback and support customers.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activity, including notes, follow-ups, emails, and call logs.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly new sales revenue goals and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of outside sales experience.
  • Experience in education, ed tech, SaaS, or a related industry preferred.
  • Existing contacts and relationships with local ISDs are a plus.
  • Teaching or administrative experience is welcome.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% within the defined geographic region.
  • Proven ability to convert prospects and meet sales quotas.
  • Experience with opportunity qualification, account development, and time management.
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of large groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and recommend solutions using a consultative sales approach.
  • Energetic, outgoing, friendly, persuasive, and goal-oriented demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills with an adaptive and collaborative mindset.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory, despite the role being remote.
